Judicial review of decision by Minister of National Revenue to issue Requests for Informations (RFIs) under Excise Tax Act, R.S.C., 1985, c. E-15, s. 289(1)—In response to request from Canada Customs and Revenue Agency (CRA) applicants supplying certain information, but redacting tax lawyer Nesathurai’s client information—Nesathurai, previously involved in Canada (Minister of Revenue—M.N.R.) v. Welton Parent Inc.,  2006 FC 67 wherein court finding information sought in respect of lawyers’ clients covered by solicitor-client privilege—On main issue of solicitor-client privilege, principle of issue estoppel applicable—Only difference in information sought source, not contents—In event of doubt, Court should protect privilege—Information outstanding subject to solicitor-client privilege—Application allowed.
